Closva is built privacy-first. Your shared moments live in your own iCloud, not on our servers. We, AAM Builds (“we”, “us”), run no backend, use no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and do not sell or monetize your data. This policy explains what that means in plain terms.

Who this applies to
This policy covers the Closva iOS app and its home-screen widgets, published by AAM Builds.
What Closva stores, and where
Closva pairs two partners and lets you share doodles, notes, “heartbeats,” moods, an approximate distance, and a countdown. All of this is stored in Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit) in a private shared zone tied to your and your partner’s Apple IDs. We do not operate servers and cannot read, access, or retrieve this content. Apple processes it under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- Doodles, notes & captions, the drawings/messages you send your partner.
- Heartbeats & moods, taps and a mood you choose to share.
- Approximate location, see below.
- Pairing & profile, a display name you choose and the link between the two paired devices.
- On-device settings & counters, preferences, daily send counts, and a widget snapshot stored locally in an App Group on your device.
Location
Location is optional and used only to show the distance between you and your partner. If you grant permission, Closva rounds your coordinates to roughly city-level precision on your device before anything is shared, your exact location never leaves your phone, is never stored by us, and is never sold. You can turn this off at any time in iOS Settings.
Notifications
With your permission, Closva sends notifications when your partner sends you something, and an optional gentle daily reminder. These are delivered via Apple Push Notification service and on-device scheduling. You can disable them anytime in iOS Settings.
Purchases
Closva Premium is sold as an auto-renewable subscription (or one-time purchase) through Apple. All payment and billing is handled by Apple via the App Store; we never see your card or payment details. Apple may share aggregate, non-identifying sales data with us.
What we do NOT do
- We do not collect or receive your personal data on any server we control.
- We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your information with data brokers.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites (no ATT prompt is shown because we don’t track).
Your control & deletion
You’re in control of your data at all times:
- Unpair in the app to disconnect from your partner.
- Delete the app to remove its on-device data.
- Manage iCloud data for Closva in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud, or by deleting the shared content from within the app.
Because content lives in your iCloud, removing it from your devices and iCloud removes it; we hold no separate copy to delete.
Children
Closva is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at this URL.
