Common questions

How do I pair with my partner?

One of you taps to create an invite and shares the link (Messages, WhatsApp, anywhere). Your partner opens the link on their iPhone with Closva installed, and you’re connected. Both of you need an iCloud account signed in.

My partner hasn’t received my doodle / heartbeat.

Closva syncs through iCloud, so make sure both devices are signed into iCloud and online. Open the app to refresh, check that notifications are enabled (iOS Settings → Closva → Notifications), and confirm you’re both still paired.

The widget isn’t updating.

Widgets refresh in the background and can be delayed by iOS. Open Closva to force a refresh. Make sure Background App Refresh is on (iOS Settings → General → Background App Refresh).

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Go to iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Closva, where you can change or cancel your plan. You can also tap “Manage Subscription” inside Closva’s Settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

How do I restore a purchase on a new device?

Sign in with the same Apple ID you purchased with, open Closva → Settings → “Restore purchases.”

How do I unpair or delete my data?

Open Closva → Settings → Unpair to disconnect. Because your content lives in your own iCloud (we keep no copy), unpairing and deleting the app removes Closva’s data from your devices.

Is my location shared exactly?

No. Location is optional and only used to show distance. Closva rounds your coordinates to about city level on your device before anything is shared, your precise location never leaves your phone.
